About digital nomad visa in Greece

The digital nomad visa lets people from outside the EU live in Spain while working remotely for employers or clients based outside Spain.

Who can apply

  • Employees of a company outside Spain whose employer agrees to let them work from Spain.
  • Self-employed people who have at least 80% of their clients outside Spain.

What you need to show

  • The company or group you work with has been actively running for at least one year.
  • Your work can be done remotely.
  • Employees: that you have worked for the company for at least 3 months before applying, and that the company agrees to you working remotely.
  • Self-employed: that you have worked with one or more companies outside Spain for at least 3 months before applying.

How it works

You can apply at the nearest Spanish consulate, or online at a special Spanish immigration office. Once the visa is approved, you register at your nearest police and immigration office to get your residence permit. After that, you also register with the Spanish social security system and the tax office. For employees, the employer must register with social security too.

What you get

Applying through a consulate gives a 1-year residence permit. Applying through the immigration office gives a 3-year permit. Both can be renewed. Employees may be able to use a special tax scheme, sometimes called the Beckham law. Under it they pay a flat 24% tax on their income and do not pay Spanish tax on income from other countries.

What the service includes

  • Checking that you meet the income level and that your work contract fits the rules.
  • Help getting documents such as a criminal record check and health insurance.
  • Sending the application to the consulate or immigration office, as you prefer.
  • Help with police appointments to register and collect your residence permit.
  • Help with applications for family members.

What clients say about our service

  • She replied extremely fast to my first inquiry, quickly arranged a meeting to go over the details, and answered all my questions. Reaching her by phone or text was easy, she was punctual, and she was fun and personable to talk to as well, with perfect English. After I had struggled for months to get this done on my own, she sorted everything out for me in record time. Anyone trying to navigate Greek bureaucracy should hire her, and I would recommend her.
