Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Please read these terms before using LegalHelpTool. They explain what the service is, what it is not, and the rules for using it.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of LegalHelpTool (legalhelptool.com). By using the site or creating an account — including by signing in with Google — you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. The service

LegalHelpTool publishes information about legal services and general legal information, and refers visitors to independent legal service providers who deliver those services. When you follow a link to a provider or order a service from one, your relationship is with that provider and is governed by its own terms and privacy policy — we are not a party to it. We are continuously developing the site and may add, change or remove features at any time.

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • Give accurate information, and keep your name and email address up to date.
  • An account is personal: do not share it, and do not create accounts to impersonate others or to make one opinion look like many.
  • Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • If you sign in with Google, your Google account is used only to confirm who you are.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the information and documents you enter into the site. You give us permission to store and process them only as far as needed to run the tools for you and to keep the service working and secure (see the Privacy Policy).

You are responsible for what you enter and confirm that you have the right to share it, including any information about other people.

5. Enquiries, AI and your personal data

The contact form on the site is a chat with an assistant that uses artificial intelligence (AI). By using the form you agree to our Terms and Conditions, including this section. The AI reads what you write or dictate, helps to collect the details of your enquiry, translates them into English where needed and puts them in order. It does so only to prepare your enquiry; it gives no legal advice and makes no decisions about you. AI services of technology providers process the text of the chat (and, if you dictate, the recording) on our behalf for this purpose only.

Your personal information is not distributed to anyone else. It is passed on only to the lawyer who will handle your enquiry — through the provider we work with — and the lawyer will work with it under the lawyer's own professional duties and privacy policy. We do not sell it, do not publish it and do not use it for advertising.

Please share only what is needed for the lawyer to help you. See the Privacy Policy for how we store data and how to ask us to delete it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to enter, publish or do anything that:

  • insults, harasses, threatens or intimidates anyone;
  • promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics;
  • is illegal, calls for violence, or encourages illegal activity;
  • reveals someone's private information (address, phone number, documents) without consent;
  • infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights of others;
  • is spam, advertising, or deliberately misleading;
  • contains malware, or tries to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site;
  • collects data from the site by automated means beyond what normal search engine indexing requires;
  • uses multiple accounts or other tricks to get around limits of the service.

7. Moderation

We may review, edit for formatting, hide or remove any content, and suspend or close any account, if we believe it breaks these terms or the law, or harms other users or the service. Where reasonable we will explain why. If you think we made a mistake, write to the contact address published on this site.

9. Our intellectual property

The LegalHelpTool name, logo, design and software belong to us and may not be copied or used to suggest our endorsement without our written permission. Content entered by users belongs to its authors.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to keep it running and secure, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will never be lost.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data or lost profits arising from your use of the site or from decisions made on the basis of information found on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

11. Ending your use

You may stop using the site at any time and delete your account from your profile page or by writing to us. We may end or suspend access as described under Moderation. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as disclaimers and limitation of liability — remain in effect.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is significant we will announce it on the site or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to the contact address published on this site.
